Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change.
Founded in 1905 in Chicago by attorney Paul Harris, Rotary began as a small group of professionals meeting to exchange ideas and build lifelong friendships. Today, more than 46,000 Rotary and Rotaract clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas bring together people from all walks of life to take action in their communities and around the world.
Rotary members are business, professional, and community leaders united by a shared commitment to service above self — volunteering their time, skills, and resources to address some of the world's most pressing humanitarian challenges.
