Rotary and its members are committed to seven areas of focus, concentrating resources on the humanitarian causes with the greatest impact and highest relevance to our service:
- Peace and Conflict Prevention — training community and world leaders in the skills to prevent and mediate conflict.
- Disease Prevention and Treatment — fighting the spread of life-threatening diseases through education, immunization, and access to care.
- Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene — helping communities gain access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene education.
- Maternal and Child Health — improving health outcomes for mothers and children through access to care and clean water.
- Basic Education and Literacy — supporting education for all children and expanding adult literacy.
- Community Economic Development — strengthening local economies and creating decent jobs.
- Environment — protecting the environment through sustainable, locally driven initiatives.
